Boosted clutch operating mechanism:
In order to reduce the force acting on the clutch pedal as much as possible, and will not increase the pedal stroke due to the transmission ratio of the transmission device is too large, in the medium and heavy vehicles and some cars, in the mechanical or hydraulic manipulation mechanism on the basis of a variety of booster devices, commonly spring-assisted, pneumatic booster and other typical structural forms.
Initially, the tension of the booster spring on the axle pin torque is actually a counter-torque to impede the movement of the pedal and the delta plate, which decreases as the clutch pedal is moved down. When the delta plate is turned until the spring axis passes through the centre of the shaft pin, the spring assist moment is zero. As the pedal continues to move down to the point where the booster spring axis is above the triangular plate shaft pin, the direction of the booster spring's pull on the triangular plate shaft pin becomes the same as the direction of the pedal force's moment on the pedal shaft, thus providing a booster effect. This boost is greatest when the pedal is in the lowest position.
